Growing without the pains

Whilst a relatively fast growth rate for a company is a good thing, it can bring certain problems with it – not least finding the financial wherewithal to manage that growth. Carpenters is a firm of solicitors based on the Wirral in Merseyside. When Donna Scully joined the firm six years ago, there were just ten employees – now there are over a hundred.

Carpenters dealt with Syscap to finance their first IT package, as Donna explains; “Syscap arranged the finance for our very first IT solution which included the cost of everything: software, hardware and even the training. We were thrilled with the service because they were extremely attentive, arranging a comprehensive deal that was very much in our best interests.”

Donna believes that the reason behind financing is sound logic, especially for a company looking to expand rapidly; “We were convinced, both in the short-term and the long-term that financing was the best option for us. We weren't crippled by capital outlay and the deal enabled us to upgrade our system when we felt it necessary, with the guarantee that we wouldn't be lumbered with obsolete technology. Recently we required an upgrade – a new, more high-tech system – which has since been installed and Syscap, once again, financed everything.”

Donna is delighted with the relationship that Carpenters has with Syscap; “What really impresses me is that the service we receive is as personal and involved as it was when we were a small company. It seems that to Syscap size really doesn't matter. They have helped us to grow, easing the financial pains that come with upgrading equipment and systems, and because they are well regarded in the industry, our system suppliers give us a good service when they know Syscap is involved.”
