12 May 2010 Now up and running in the UK, Germany and France Syscap, the UK’s leading independent IT financing company, has gone live with its new finance programme outside the UK. The programme which is being carried out by Syscap on behalf of Infor, a world leading business software company, first launched in the UK in September 2009 and is now fully operational across Germany and France. Syscap confirmed that the value of financing deals closed in continental Europe is already running into the millions of pounds. They say this is contributing to a substantial increase in the volume of business Infor has been able to close across the region. As part of the programme, Syscap has agreed specific funding lines with Deutsche Bank and Miller Leasing in Germany, and Credit Agricole and Leasecom in France. It has also appointed dedicated account managers for each country. Infor Financing will provide interest-free finance for 24 months for Infor’s qualifying customers and reseller channel partners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The next regions to benefit are Benelux and Italy where the launch is scheduled for June 2010. The offer will cover the costs of licensing, implementing and supporting Infor business software, which range from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Workforce Management (WFM). Infor’s resellers will also be able to offer the finance programme to their qualifying customers purchasing Infor products and services across all industries. Comments Philip White, Chief Executive, of Syscap: “Whilst Syscap has closed plenty of ad hoc deals in various European countries before, this is the first time that we carry out a full-scale, structured programme outside the UK.” “Just as in the UK, businesses in the rest of Europe are faced with a tremendous shortage of credit. Companies that are unable to fund IT investment are at risk of losing their competitive edge. For IT resellers, this translates into a sales barrier.” “More and more IT companies are starting to realise that providing finance to their resellers and customers will enhance their sales. We are also seeing companies, like Infor, for which integrating finance into their product offering has produced such good results in the UK that they’re willing to set up the same structure in the other regions where they operate.” Founded in 2002, Infor has grown rapidly to become one of the largest providers of enterprise software in the world, generating more than $2 billion in annualised revenues.
